What began as a rock climbing trip outside of Tahoe grew into a lifelong pursuit of exploration. Over the years, that curiosity has taken him across North and South America, through the Alps, and into some of the most remote terrain on Earth.
As an IFMGA Mountain Guide, Kai brings a depth of training that allows him to move seamlessly across disciplines. From glacier travel to multi-week expeditions, from technical descents to complex terrain, his range is extensive. But what defines his guiding is not just capability. It is how he helps others engage with the landscape.
Whether introducing someone to movement on a glacier or leading a demanding objective in the mountains, Kai creates experiences that feel immersive, intentional, and grounded in the environment around you.
