Calm decisions in complex terrain

Tim’s approach to guiding is grounded in experience. The kind that comes from years spent in complex terrain, making thoughtful decisions where they matter most.

He began his career in Jackson Hole with Exum Mountain Guides, one of North America’s most respected guiding institutions. Over time, that foundation expanded into a career that spans ski descents, alpine objectives, and work alongside film crews in demanding environments.

As an internationally certified IFMGA Mountain Guide, Tim moves confidently across disciplines. From guiding in the Alps to working with athletes and production teams, his experience is both technical and wide-ranging. His background in avalanche education and risk management adds another layer of depth to how he approaches each day in the mountains.

What sets Tim apart is not just where he has been, but how he operates within those environments. Calm, measured, and highly attuned to conditions, he creates experiences that feel steady, considered, and quietly adventurous.

Today, while balancing his work in housing development, Tim continues to guide a select number of trips each year. For those who join him, the experience is defined by intention, trust, and time spent in the mountains with someone who understands them deeply.
