Like snowflakes, no two skiers or snowboarders are exactly the same. Each has a unique set of skills, personal preferences and sense of adventure. Our approach to guiding is to account for all the variables that make you the skier and traveler you are, then build a custom plan to give you the best possible experience you can have.
It Starts With a Personal Consultation.
To kick things off we need to know a few things about you. So we'll arrange a call to talk things through, ask a lot of questions, then hit you back with some suggestions on the region, resort and villages that best suit your abilities and travel expectations.
Since the best skiing is usually away from the crowds and into the un-tracked high country, we'll scope out some options for skinning or climbing above the lifts, with breathtaking descents you'll brag about later. Again, it's all about molding the trip to your abilities - and maybe nudging you out of your comfort zone if that works for you.
Get Your Guide.
Our guides are either locals, born and raised in the towns and villages you'll be visiting, or they've spent enough time in any given region to know the mountains and off-piste terrain, not to mention the best restaurants, apres-ski and things to do. Once we nail down your destination, we'll hook you up with the right guide for your trip, bar none.
Lock Down The Logistics.
You may not know the Alps very well, but we do. So you can rest assured when it comes to lodging, transfers and other details of your trip, we've got you covered. With more than 20 years traveling around the Alps, we have all the answers to make your trip stress free.
We also have a stateside equipment partner who will advise you on the gear you'll need, and set you up with a rental or purchase - whatever works for you.
The Process at a Glance:
- Contact us to set up a one-on-one consultation. We'll start to build a game plan, and share some ideas on lodging options, restaurants and things to do.
- Pay the design fee and we'll build your custom itinerary and hold your private guide.
- Once you like what you see, we'll send you a link to book.
- Shortly before your trip we'll send you an invite to a group message to introduce you to your guide.
- All you need to do is pack your bags and get to your hotel. It's all on us from there.
While every trip is custom designed, here are three general directions your experience can take:
Classic Ski Journey
Settle down in one hotel or chalet for the entire trip, and use it as your base to access all the piste or off piste terrain that region or cluster of resorts has to offer.
Combo Trip
Combine multiple towns, villages or huts for a more diverse experience.
Ski Safari
Travel on skis from village to village, hut to hut or anything in between. Spend as much time on skis as you wish, or throw in a train journey when or where it suits.
